Structural Concepts Announces Hiring of New Chief Executive Officer

Joe Mockus has joined Structural Concepts (“SCC” or the “Company”) as President and CEO. Joe brings an extensive range of experience and accomplishments with him. For the last 10 years, Joe worked for Senior PLC, where he served as VP and General Manager of the Flexonics business which fabricated metal components and assemblies serving multiple markets. After successfully growing sales at Flexonics by over 50% over a four-year period with a robust marketing effort and launching an extremely successful lean manufacturing initiative, Joe was most recently promoted to President of the Structures Division of Senior PLC. Prior to Senior PLC, Joe was President and COO at Femco Holdings which is a provider of machined components and equipment repair services. Joe has also held roles at Handy and Harman as President of a brazing and soldering business and was Director of Business Excellence, Global Operations for Underwriters Laboratories where he led a global lean initiative across facilities in 26 countries.

Joe has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt and holds several patents. Joe brings with him a strong toolkit of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma, with strong commercial capabilities including success in developing product adjacencies for growth. He has experience in a make-to-order environment and knows how to successfully lead a highly engineered branded manufactured products business.

Joe Mockus replaces Jerry Bennish who has been the interim President and CEO of SCC since August 2020. Jerry will remain on the Board of Directors of SCC and remain an investor in the Company.
